Wracan and Son sells only the purest Michigan honey from our 200 beehives. All of our honey is raw and unpasteurized.

Back in 1977, Ed Wracan agreed to help his son, John,  operate one bee hive as a 4h Club Project.  They had no idea then that this activity would grow into a thriving business with 150 bee hives producing thousands of pounds of honey a year!  Why, it’s the most entrepreneurial thing that’s happened in Lennon since Clarence and Millicent Merriweather sold eighteen wooden lawn ornaments on one Saturday up to the Methodist Church spring bazaar!!!

In addition to their pure wildflower honey, Wracan & Son has developed several other products to broaden their offerings.  One is a mustard uniquely flavored with a little tangy horseradish and just enough beer to make the Reverend Woodrow Wingate refer to it as “sinful.”  Another product is the horseradish itself.  Amos Birdwell (up to the hardware store) claims it “tastes great on a ham sandwich and clears your sinuses at the same time.”

The Wracan & Son company name should include “& Wives” and maybe, in time, it will.  Ed’s wife, Jane and John’s wife, Colleen developed two personal care products:  There’s a skin cream made by blending beeswax and lanolin, and a lip balm that starts with beeswax and lanolin and adds honey and wintergreen for flavor.

This editor’s evaluation– these products are all home-grown and home-made with an important ingredient in every jar …  tender, loving care.  THIS IS GOOD STUFF!
